Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Bill Clock ("the App") is developed and published by Xenex Studio.
Bill Clock is designed with privacy in mind. The App is offline-first, and most information you enter remains on your device. We do not sell your personal information, use your data for advertising, or build advertising profiles.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Bill Clock handles, when information may leave your device, and how third-party services are involved.
1. Information You Enter Into the App
Bill Clock allows you to enter information such as:
Business information, including business name, address, email, phone number, and other invoice details.
Client information, including names, contact details, tax information, and custom fields.
Services and rates, including hourly or lump-sum pricing.
Time entries, including dates, durations, and billable hours.
Invoice information, including line items, amounts, discounts, taxes, notes, and payment status.
App settings and preferences.
Business logo, if you choose to add one.
This information is primarily stored locally on your device.
Bill Clock does not require you to create an account to use the core app.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Bill Clock is designed to work offline.
Your business information, clients, services, time entries, invoices, and app settings are stored locally on your device and protected using the App's built-in security measures.
Your business logo is also stored locally and is not uploaded as part of cloud backups.
The App does not use your device's general storage, contacts, camera, or location information for its normal operation.
3. Cloud Backup
Cloud backup is an optional Pro feature.
If you choose to use cloud backup, the App sends the information required to create your backup to the cloud service used by Bill Clock.
Cloud backup is not enabled automatically simply because you use the App.
You must actively use the backup functionality for your data to be uploaded.
Cloud backups are associated with your account so that they can be restored to your device when requested.
Important
Cloud backups are protected using access controls and security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access. However, cloud backups should not be considered an end-to-end encrypted storage system.
If you do not use the cloud backup feature, your Bill Clock data remains on your device.
4. Google Sign-In
Google Sign-In may be used when you choose to use cloud backup features.
When you sign in with Google, Bill Clock may receive basic account information provided by Google, such as:
Your name
Your email address
Your Google account identifier
This information is used to associate your cloud backup with the appropriate account.
Bill Clock does not use your Google account information for advertising.
5. Feedback
If you voluntarily submit feedback through the App, the information you provide may include:
Your feedback message
An optional rating
Your name, if provided
Your email address, if provided
Feedback is used solely to understand user experiences, identify problems, and improve Bill Clock.
We do not use feedback submissions for advertising purposes.
6. Purchases and Google Play
Bill Clock offers an optional one-time Pro purchase through Google Play.
Payment processing is handled by Google Play. Bill Clock does not receive or store your complete payment card or banking information.
The App receives information necessary to determine whether the Pro purchase is available to your installation.
For information about how Google handles payment and account information, please refer to Google's own privacy documentation.
7. Invoices and Exported Files
Bill Clock can generate PDF invoices and export reports.
When you choose to share, print, email, upload, or otherwise send an invoice or exported file, that action is controlled by you and the service you choose to use.
Bill Clock does not maintain a server-side copy of invoices merely because you export or share them.
For example, if you choose to send an invoice through an email or messaging application, that information becomes subject to the privacy practices of that service.
8. Information We Do Not Collect
Bill Clock does not intentionally collect:
Precise location information
Contacts from your device
Camera data
Photos from your device
Advertising identifiers for advertising
Advertising profiles
Analytics events
Behavioral tracking data
Crash-reporting data
The App does not contain third-party advertising.
Bill Clock does not sell your personal information.
9. App Permissions
Bill Clock requests only the permissions necessary for its functionality.
On Android, the App may request notification permission so that the timer can provide notification controls such as pause, resume, and stop.
The App does not require location, contacts, camera, or similar sensitive device permissions for its core functionality.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by Bill Clock against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
Security protections are applied to both locally stored information and information transmitted to supported cloud services.
For security reasons, we intentionally do not publish internal security implementation details, encryption configurations, key-management mechanisms, database protection mechanisms, server rules, or other technical security architecture in this Privacy Policy.
Publishing such implementation details would not provide meaningful privacy information to users and could unnecessarily expose security-sensitive information.
11. Data Deletion
You can delete your cloud backup using the cloud backup controls provided within the App.
You can also remove locally stored Bill Clock data by uninstalling the App from your device.
Backup files that you manually export or create are under your control and can be deleted from wherever you choose to store them.
If you need assistance with a data deletion request, please use the Data Deletion Request page provided by Xenex Studio.
12. Data Retention
Locally stored information remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.
Cloud backup information remains available until you delete the applicable backup or it is otherwise removed in accordance with the operation of the service.
Feedback submitted to us may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for product support, troubleshooting, and improving Bill Clock.
13. Children's Privacy
Bill Clock is intended for general use and is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling purposes.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
14. Third-Party Services
Bill Clock may use third-party services necessary to provide features such as:
Google Play — app distribution and purchases
Google services — optional account authentication and cloud backup functionality
Cloud infrastructure providers — optional backup and feedback functionality
Google Fonts — delivery of the App's font resources
These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.
We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of the relevant third-party providers when using their services.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Bill Clock, its features, or applicable requirements.
When changes are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy will be updated.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
